Power Rangers

While Tommy and I were cleaning up dinner tonight the kids were playing.  We looked in the living room and they were playing Power Rangers.
With underwear for their costumes! Hahahaha
We have the White Ranger, the Yellow Ranger, and the Red Ranger.
This gave us a really good laugh!

Some funny things this week!

We have had quite a few chuckles this week, on behalf of our kids.  You know the saying "boys rule and girls drool" or vice versa.  Anyway Noah was saying that to Anna and she says (and picture her saying this in her little voice) "I don't drool, I throw up." haha still funny, maybe it's just me though.

Noah was at Grandma B's and brought home some wooden blocks and while at home he made something and it resembled a sword of sorts.  Dad asked him what it was and he said "It's my lifesavers!"  Which he really meant light saber, because he just watched Star Wars with Grandpa last weekend. I love how they never seem to hear things right. :)

And today when we got to the Roberts parking lot Noah asked if they had "excavators" and Tommy and I looked at each other like huh?  And then we realized he meant "escalators."  Silly kid, he has sure been on one this week.  He has also been running around like Dash from Incredibles.  He told me he's not trying to run as fast as him, he can run as fast as him.

Turkey!

We had a good Thanksgiving this year.  We hosted at our house.  A funny thing Noah told me was about his Thanksgiving feast at preschool...he said that someone said they were having turkey but really they had chicken.  I asked him why he thought they were having chicken instead of turkey and he said "well it was white inside like chicken, so it wasn't turkey."  I thought this was cute, I proceeded to tell him that they are both the same color so it probably was turkey.  It's funny what kids put together in their minds :)

Updates

Brooklyn:  She is really into jumping rope right now.  And she is becoming a very good reader, she is on a level G!  She reads everything she can see, signs, cereal boxes, facebook posts, etc.  She loves school and her friends.  And I can always count on her to help me out.

Noah:  He is starting to get interested in organizing his room.  He has been keeping it clean and says "I like to keep it clean because it's funner to play in there when there isn't a bunch of stuff on the floor."  I think he had an ah ha moment!?  Hope he keeps it up.

Anna:  She has been telling a lot of untruths.  Like, "is your dinner gone?" "Yes" and it's really not.  Or the same thing with her room being clean.  How do you fix it?  I don't want to keep calling her on all the negative stuff because she is one who needs a lot of positive attention, but what do you do?

Chloe:  This one is a little stinker.  She knows exactly when the bathroom door has been left open, or when the pantry is left open so she can get to the garbage.  When Tommy puts his phone, keys, and wallet in his nightstand drawer she is constantly trying to get them and bring them to him like she has done something wonderful.  She can finally say mama and it's about time.

They are all really excited for winter and Christmas.  Hope they're not naughty ;)

Halloween

Holidays are definitely better with kids. Getting them dressed up for Halloween is sooo fun.

My favorite thing this year was Noah carving pumpkins. He hates taking the guts out. Last year he wouldn't even do it. But this year Dad convinced him if he was a tuff boy he could take out the guts. And he eventually did. Yay!!
He was very proud of his bat pumpkin!
The kids wanted to go through a haunted house in our neighborhood and so we decided Brooklyn and Noah could go with Dad. They got a little scared but made it out ok and had fun too! Happy Haunting!

Chocolate milk

All the kids love chocolate milk! They like it in a sippy cup and then take it down stairs to watch tv.  I know most of them shouldn't be drinking out of sippy cups but it's one of those things that I can't seem to take away.  It's just so much easier to do it this way.
